if it's a dual 4 ohm voice coil then yes, it can be wired for 2 or 8 ohms.

99% of the time a higher power sub like that is going to be run at 2 ohms instead of 8.

There are pleny of mono amps that will produce the type of power you're looking for into 2 ohms.
