Why did the mods lock my post about bypassing the clutch?

Because your car could remote start in gear and run over some little old lady, then in court you will say I learned how to do it on the12volt.com.  And then what would we do?

DEI has a module to safely bypass and put remote starter into ready mode only when you do a sequence of things. I installed one today on a Toyota 4runner 5 speed. It's model number is 689m. It is the only way I would install a remote starter in a manual transmission vehicle.The wire I'm test'n isn't doin' what it's supposed to be doin'... I am so glad I printed that tech sheet, with the wrong info.

I do have the dei 689m, it doesn't tell you how to bypass the clutch. The instructions are very vague at best. Anyways I already bypassed the clutch, I'm just looking for a way to bypass it only on R/S, instead of all the time like it does now.

another-kelly do you mean the ground when armed output wire? I don't think that would work. Could I just connect one of my alarms r/s extra outputs...like -violet starter output and connect that to one of my 2 clutch wires, that way it only bypasses the clutch on r/s?
