I have 3 Orion XTRPro 10" DVC and was wondering if anyone had any sugestions for an amp to push them. I was thinking JBL 1200.1 or Rockford bd1000. Also if I use a ported box the specs that come with the subs would be ideal correct?

I prefer the Rockford bd 1000 and it will more than handle it. Keep your box spec. within 1.0 cu.ft., 3" port Diameter and 14" port length. Try different boxs if you have a chance because you will get different result depending on the type of car and space you are working with.

I know the JBL is stable down to 1 ohm but I don't think the rockford is.  Most JBL amps I hate, but these from the power series are pretty sweet and they definitely give you more flexibility in general, as far as wiring the subs up is concerned.

In your current situation you're gonna be looking at a total impedence of 2.67 ohms and that rockford amp can definitely handle that anyways.  Both are very good amps in my opinion.  At that impedence the jbl will give you 100-200 more watts RMS than the rockford will--I don't know if that's important to you or not.

Both these amps are gonna need a fairly good alternator for them to run well, although the jbl will probably need a lil bit more current when pushed real hard than the rockford.  I'm not saying you're gonna have to run out and buy a new alternator, just that depending upon what kind of vehicle you have and what kind of load it puts on the alternator with just factory equipment, it might push it a lil bit.

I've hardly ever had any problems with rockford amps, especially the power series (and they have a 3 year warranty!!).  These new bd amps are pretty nifty.  If they are similarly priced I'd go for the rockford, but if you can save a couple hundred bucks by going with the jbl than that may prove to be a better option for you depending on whether or not money is an issue.

Go for the Rockford, they put out far more power than they're rated for (I have a Punch X1000.1 that's rated at 1000 Watts RMS and actualy puts out 1280 RMS). The signal is clean to but don't run it at 1 ohm or it'll run hot and fail soon!

Go for Rockford, I own a Bd 1000.1 its rated for 1152 watts full power at 2ohm, its running a single 12" Alpine Type R sub now at 1ohm and I never shut the amp down. Before my insurance claim it was running a 15" Alpine Type R and two 10" Type R. Even then the louder the music the better it sounded. Good Luck

Yes the Rockford will be plenty, and will handle a 2.66 ohm load with ease.
