There's so many out there.  Helps to narrow it down to a certain price range if possible.  I like MB Quart, Focal, Kicker, and Infinity, but there are many many more to choose from out there.  Also depends on what kind of system you're gonna integrate it with (head unit, back speakers, subs, amps, etc.)

Does headunit really make that much a diff?? Need also more info...there isn't a "best" set of components out their...only what sounds best to you and suits your individual needs. I like Boston, Diamond, Focal, MB Quart and Polk Audio personally.

Yes, HU does make a difference but I think only in RTA for SQ. Otherwise it's the options, features & looks that will make you decide one model over another.

look at Focal, Diamond, a/d/s/, Rainbow, AVI, Dyn, MB Quart, Morel, or Image Dynamics...all very nice sounding speakers, and most of them are capable of handling great amounts of power...
and Jeff is correct, with most of the higher end hu's, it all boils down to what you like...display, features/options, etc...

I have a nakamichi head unit and im going with a 3-way focal component set. MB-Quart, a/d/s, diamond audio are also some other options.

I personally have 2 sets of MB Quart components in my truck. I did a lot of shopping and looking and in my opinion they are the best sounding component speakers. Remember though different speakers sound better to different people. I would look around and listen to some if you can. If you don't want look, I'd go with MB Quart..you won't be dissapointed.
