1996 jetta alarm wiring

hi again, i just ran into a situation, the disarm and arm output from the alarm/starter are the same as unlock and lock (unlock requires a double pulse) if i hook up the arm output and the lock output together and the same for the disarm and unlock output, would i need to use a diode in two of the wires to prevent feedback? they are all (-) outputs from the remote starter.. and the door locks are (=), i will be using a relay.

Is it easier to convert the polarities of the output?

you will for sure need to convert polarity for your locks.

ok because i'll be using a relay for the lock and unlock wire. but should i also use a diode?
