I appreciate your thoughts. I was thinking along the same lines as y'all actually, but just like you the power and ground has stumpted me. The power is 8ga. from dist. block and the ground is also 8ga.

I don't know why I didn't think of this before! All you need is to put an inline fuse on both the power and ground wire about 6 inches away from the amp. If you use an inline fuse holder that unscrews (by hand) to get to the fuse, then there's your quick disconnect Amp quick connect/disconnect thingy? - Page 2 -- posted image. All you have to do is unscrew it and put the fuse in a safe place while you're gone. I know you wouldn't usually fuse the ground wire, but in this case I don't think it would hurt anything!!!!

Also if you check the Parts Express Catalog, you gan find quick disconnects for as thick as 2 gauge. There called "Breakaway" Power Connectors and there about $18.50 each.  As far as the speaker wire, you can find those quick disconnects for them at Radio Shack.  Then you can just unplug your RCA wires.  Hope this helps.
