Yeah, I don't recommend putting them into a sealed enclosure.  Diamond Audio is nice in that they give you the parameters for the midrange in the owners manual, so you could model it yourself and see how they fair.  But usually speaker manufacturers expect the speakers to be installed in an IB setup, so they design accordingly.  You won't be able to seal off your entire door cavity with sound deadener.   But even if you did it still should be a large enough area to be considered IB.
