The infinity amp you are reffering to does not do well with any component set. This amp was not designed to run component speakers. I have owned this amp and have had many friends own it is well. One was running some crappy power acoustic 6.5 components and it always cut out before clipping, i was personally running infinity kappa perferct 5.25 components and it also cut out all the time.. Basically to make a long story short i did some research and found out this amp was never designed to run any sort of component set. (A represenative from infinity said this personally) Coaxials run amazing on this amp, but as far as components go the best advice i can give is to get a different amp. I switched to the JBl 300.4 and would recommend that amp over the infinity any day..
If an amplifier is cutting out or clipping, it's because the input sensitivity is higher than the recommended input of the amplifier. The amplifier that he stated is enough to power the components but make sure that you use a HU that doesn't output more than 5.5 Vs.

I sell this amp and surprisingly every single one sold has also been sold with a set of component speakers....... they sound just fine when set up PROPERLY as our fearless moderator and resident ping pong expert mentioned. Get good speakers (cough Morel cough), get a good install and enjoy good sound.

The Diamond components hands down. I love the sound of those speakers, especially the D6 series. But then my listening tastes may differ from yours, so it would be best if you audition the speakers yourself and decide which one's you like best.

well thats the thing. circuit doodiey only has like lower polk and eclipse and i dont like the sound. i cant find a dealer near me that sells diamond and high brand polk or infinity. so im going off reviews and other people. like i said, taste wise i like high bright sound because i am setting up an spl crazy setup and need some actually noise to bleed through the db's lol

When I auditioned the polks, the DB's and the Momo's have similar tweeter performance, but the mids on the Momo's are much better and make a huge difference. I still would not classify them as audiophile speakers or anything, but they are what I bought because, out of the speakers I auditioned, they sounded the best in their price range. But there are quite a few brands I've never heard, or haven't heard recently, so don't take that as gospel.

Then the Diamond speakers won't be a good choice for you.  They have a very smooth top end, which is what I like about them.  If you want bright, look into MB Quart.

Did someone say "bright"? I can think of NONE brighter and more fatiguing than Focal. ANYTHING with their Ti tweeter (GAH!!! Can you say SCREECHINGLY bright?) will do just fine, and take the power you want to throw at 'em for the desired output.
Sure, we are WELL outside your budget, but that's all I got.
It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."
