thank you so much heyemphyst, I rewired the subwoofers in series and now the amp is just fine. I appreciate all of the advice that e1 gave me. My son is overwhelmed by the sound that he gets now and is very very happy w/ it ( thank GOD I thought I was gonna have to spend more dinero on a different amplifier ). Thanks for the patience, I'm learning as I go.

i would recommend the alpine mrd-m1005. i got mine for my r's off of amazon for like $350.
