No there is nothing in 86, what should it be?

also can all of the commons be grounded together?

86 on that middle relay has to be 12 volts constant for it to operate.
All the grounds can go to the same point.
You really should read the link under "Mobile Electronics Basics" marked "Relays", assuming you haven't yet.

Thanks for all of your help, we got it.  The only strange thing was that we initially used the pink/white wire, but that always unlocked the doors when the key was turned on.

We switched to the violet/white wire, and it worked fine.

We also got lucky because apparently the dealer had either begun installing or installed and removed a ford alarm system and all of the connectors were there.
