i guess i may have touched 2 wires then. so i may have shorted out the rca output of the radio is what your saying? because i can call circuit city and have them replace it if it is.

You touched 2 wires on your last radio. Not this one. You keep doubting that you have a problem because the last radio didn't have any sound when it broke. I was just telling you the difference between the 2 problems.
I am not saying that you shorted out your RCAs. I AM saying that you did exactly opposite of that. You opened a trace or blew a fuse on the circuit board of your radio. I know you said earlier that you regrounded it. I do not know if you tried the fix on the page that I posted earlier. Did you try that?

I edited my last post after your last post. Your RCA cables are fine.

no i did not because i said i dont have an ohm meter to see if it is the problem. answer me this, if i get CC to replace it. should i go back in after and do that thing like on the link you posted or just let them put it in and go with it?

You do not need an ohm meter to try the fix. If you do not have a soldering iron, just ground one end of the wire and touch the other end to the RCA cable, it will make a pop sound and the noise will go away.
But to answer your second question, If it were me, I would do the fix before I put a new radio in the car. You know how hungry those distribution blocks are.

yes your right. lol. ok if i do this you have to go slow and explain so i know 100 % wat im doin. so i... ground a small like 14 gauge wire or so to the frame where the radio sits? then touch it to the outer metal of the rca output on the radio or the actual RCAs while they are unplugged from the HU? and have the battery unplugged right?
