04 ranger w/factory amp and parrot 3100

So how would I go about installing this unit?I have to interrupt the speaker wire between the amp and speakers right?Any info would be greatly appreciated,

You have a choice: use a car specific harness or splice in. If you want to use a harness, please let me know if the radio has a Mute/Phone button on the radio, if you want to splice in please sent me your e-mail address and I will forward you our Installation Notes.

I have to splice because of the amp right ?    I couldn't find a harness for the truck and the customer needs it done today,and yes it has the mute button.My e-mail is sw510uc@yahoo.cominstalling, one day at a time..

So it looks like the factory amp only powers the subwoofer in the center console so I should be able to just interrupt the speaker wires behind the stereo right ?   Do I still need to hook up a mute wire ?  ..... or does the parrot automatically do it since I'm interrupting the speaker wires ?   Sorry but the instructions really stink and parrots tech. support isn't much better. installing, one day at a time..
