Any help here would be great.  Car starts for about 5 sec and then dies security light blinks. I have the right bypass for it but i think the problem is the bulb test wire not sure if i have the right one from the black 6-pin connector? Any other trouble shooting ideas i can try?

The bulb test wire is the thin blacl wire in th same harness as the two Red power wires if I remember correctly. I have never had a bypass kit work on a cavalier though so i use relays and a resistor.
What year cavalier and what bypass modules are you working with?
Here is a permanent bypass method that uses relay and resistor. If you want a tewmporary bypass method just email me and I will send one to you.

Yeah your bypass module is the problem, unless of course you do not have it hooked up right.
Like I said I have never had a bypass module that worked on a cavalier with Passlock I. Maybe just bad luck, maybe just the bypass modle I was using, but I only use relays and a trimpot now, for cavaliers.

Oh dont worry, as long as you have the right bulb test wire, and the right resistor it will work.
Yes, you just need to run a wire from the starter to pin 85. If you installed a starter kill, or anti-grind relay, you need to put pin 85 on the starter side of the relay where the RS starter output is.

Just another note about the bulb test wire on these cars. They are in the harness with the power wires in location "D" or "E". The letters are on the side of the harness. Also, the wire is small, but not always black. Sometimes it is green or brown.
