Ok, so I recently bought a 93 YJ wrangler and recently took out the alarm system that wouldnt even work. The guy who owned it before me had a cluster of wiring all up underneath the drivers side dash.
Went to go start the jeep after pulling all alarm of the wiring and after re-connecting stock ignition wiring. It sounded as if the battery the battery was dead. Jumped it with my brothers car, it started but I needed to hold down the gas to keep it running. Would not Idle without me holding down the gas. It would die as soon as i would let gas go
We checked battery terminals while running and we got constant 14 volt reading. We put in new battery and it was only enough to start but not keep it running. wth is wrong? It is an original alternator but battery is from June of 08.

The alarm system I am using is a ungo and the model number is SA?6200 and I *think* he had a passive starter kill. He used two relay boxes...

check all of your fuses first.

if you don't know exactly what you took out of the jeep when you removed the old alarm, you need to take it to a mechanic. symptoms you've described wouldn't result from a conventional alarm installation.

double check the wiring and fuses, if thats all good it could be a couple different things from bad fuel pump to bad iac valve, do a fuel pressure check

Thank you to both of you. I figured out the problem and it ended up being a few things wrong. My brother and I were stumped for a long time. I hate those problems that all lead up to one error.
1). Bad wiring
2). Terminals are bad
3). IAC valve was sticking
4). Bad grounds
I cleaned the grounds, terminals, and IAC valve and instead of the wires going through the passive relay, we directly connected them. Whoever did the wiring on the alarm did a very bad job. There were mis-match wires connected, some wires didnt even go anywhere or to anything, he just snipped them and left them!!
But again, thank you for your suggestions!
