i have a set of alpine type rs that i am running at 4 ohms on a kicker zx350.2  i would like to run them at 2 ohms.  can i wire in a 2 ohm resistor in paralell with the pos and neg wires?  or how would i do this?  thank you for any advice

No, you cannot do that.   There is a sticky thread in this forum discussing the many reasons why this is a bad idea.

An advanced MECP should know this...
