Dyohn and haemphyst are steering you in the right direction here. Running 1 ohm isn't the answer either. The two woofers with the current amp should give you the most amount of power without the least amount of problems.
"also the ppl at the store are trying to tell me that gains dont matter on how much rms puts out.. so dont get an amp more powerful than the subs can handle.." Time to get a new store.

Since you already have the woofers in the box, and you already have the amp, have you at least thought about running the woofers in series for a 12 ohm load.  Granted the amp will not make nearly as much power, but it would be worth a try.

Option 2 (series) = 12 ohm load
Speakers wired in series
Recommended Amplifier: Stable at 4, 2, or 1 ohm mono
