Can you please list the connections you have made? Please be specific  including tracer colors (ie. Pink/white is a pink wire with a white stripe) and where the wires are (ie. ignition harness or describe the harness from the remote start system). This will allow troubleshooting as to which is misconnected. thx :)

Ok well I copied and pasted that site and got nothing from it other than it being a phishing site. Here is what I have for that model for vehicle connection points.

1998 JEEP CHEROKEE WIRING DIAGRAM SCHEMATIC

+12VDC            +      RED & PINK/BLACK               IGNITION HARNESS

STARTER         +      YELLOW                                   IGNITION HARNESS

IGNITION 1       +     DARK BLUE                             IGNITION HARNESS

IGNITION 2       +     BLACK/ ORANGE                    IGNITION HARNESS

ACCESSORY   +     BLACK/ WHITE                        IGNITION HARNESS

LOCK     -      ORANGE / PURPLE      DRIVER KICK PANEL, MUST USE RELAYS, TEST WITH DOORS CLOSED

UNLOCK     -    PINK/PURPLE         DRIVER KICK PANEL, MUST USE RELAYS, TEST WITH DOORS CLOSED

PARKLIGHTS  +      BLACK / YELLOW                     HEADLIGHT SWITCH

BRAKE              +      WHITE/ TAN                             BRAKE SWITCH

TACH                 AC    GREY                                      BLACK PLUG AT PCM  Notes: The PCM (powertrain control module) is located on the drivers side inner fender well near the radiator support.

HORN                -        BLACK/ RED                          STEERING COLUMN

DOOR PIN        -        YELLOW                                 DRIVER KICK PANEL IN GREY 2 PIN CONNECTOR

Are these the same as what you have connected?
