I has every went to your car and the battery was dead or had the car in acc and the stereo killed the battery and the jumper pack I dead. I was thinking to wire a power invertor into the trunk and so when the car is on the jumper pack keeps a charge. And to be on the safe side add a toggle switch so you can stop the jumper pack from charging. So what you all think

I'm sure some idiot has.

Get an extra battery installed in your trunk (keep in mind, it may need to be vented to the outside of the vehicle unless it's sealed) and wire up an isolator to keep it separated from the main battery. So, when the front battery goes dead you can flip the switch on the isolator, start the car with the rear battery, then flip it back to the front battery to charge it up.

True that can be done and I just redid my trunk and I have a spot for my jumper pack and sometimes I forget to charge it weekly but I never get stuck cuz I'm very conscience of my charging system and don't wana be chasing people with jumper cables or pay a towing fee. But if I get bored and end up gutting my trunk again ill throw a extrax battery in it

This would maybe be a good idea in a perfect world where the inverter and the battery charger were 100% efficient.  But since neither of those devices are that efficient, the current drawn to charge will outweigh the amount of current provided.

And no I have not tried it JMelton.

So what you mean you saying the jumper pack isn't reliable. How is the invertor not also. Not understanding what your getting at. Explain your input thanks

Why does your battery die so easily? Maybe you should try to fix this...

I don't have a charging problem issue I have a 240a alt a 800cold cranking 1000 cranking and the big 3 the car starts with no problem I'm aying in the worse case situtation. You pull out your pack to help someone and your pack is dead.

I saw a battery advertised someplace that had a built-in backup battery. I guess it had an isolator, then there was a switch to connect the backup into the circuit. I assume it would be a) more expensive, and b) would have less normal capacity than a normal battery the same size. Still, if you spot something like that at S-Mart on sale, it's the easiest solution.
Otherwise, hardwiring in a booster pack, assuming it isn't subject to overcharging, would be a nice way to go. Even if it isn't OK to leave hooked up all the time, you could wire up a relay (or two) to put it on charge (or make it boost) with just a switch on the dash.
Is this bass really strong enough?

Who said there was a reliability issue?

You can do this with an extra battery and a heavy duty relay. Very simple...catch is that you can't jump the front battery too often and not for very long or the contacts of the relay will burn up
