Hey guys, I got an '03 H2 I am putting a 791 viper in.  I was going to use a Directed 1700g because I heard it is the best one that does almost everything but they are now discontinued.  Is there another model or brand I should look at that does everything the 1700g does or more?

Get the XK01.
The only difference is it is reprogrammable for many more makes and models.
It does come standard with the firmware for your truck.

I agree.
The XK01 is easy to install, and even activates your heated seats and rear defroster automatically when it's cold out.
The GMDLBP is a little less expensive, doesn't do the heated accessories, but it adds a Panic feature.
www.idatalink.com and www.ifar.ca also have modules that will work for you.
In any case, read the install manual before you buy. That'll help you make a better decision.

Hey guys looking to find a few wires.

1: Neutral safety.  Probed around the wires by the selector but couldn't find one.

2: Heated seats.  I assume they are on one of the BCM plugs.  I would like to wire in so I can turn them on remotely.  Will this cause problems when the XK01    tries to turn them on automatically when its 32 degrees out?

3: Rear defrost.  same as above.

1) Shouldn't need Neutral Safety
2 and 3)The XK01 does these automatically when you remote start --- why would you need to activate them any other time??

I heard it only does the defrost and seats when the temp is 32 degrees and I would like to maualy/remotely turn them on if it's 40 degrees etc.

Also do I need to use the hood pin wire or does the xko1 monitor that and set off the alarm through the data bus?
