Ive never done a five wire in an 08 superduty and I've done quite a few. There are multiples of the same color in the drivers kick..... How come you're not using a multimeter to test wires.......sort of risky working on that new of a vehicle without testing your wires first, not to mention wasting time to diagnose what's happening.

Must be a 3 wire system.  I am using a multimeter but I did not use it on the lock and unlock wires because the chart I had (posted earlier) stated the color of the wires and I found them in the door harness.  When I am under the dash I probe every wire even if I have a diagram.  Don't want to trip the air bag.  I'll give it a shot tomorrow.  Man I can't wait to have a full size garage.

Thanks guys.  I do not have DRL (daytime running lights) or autolights.  I am currently hooked into the WHITE/ violet wire as that is the one that tested right.  Strange though as this list says a different wire.  So you think I toasted my headlight switch?  Makes sense I guess.  But if thats the case, and I have the right wire, how am I suposed to hook up my parking lights?  I have it hooked to the WHITE/ violet about 12" from the switch itself.   Am I suposed to tap into it after a junction or relay or something?

ckeeler,

So your saying I don't have the 3 wire negative I have the 5 wire reversal?  That means I need a relay setup according to my manual.  By the way I am installing an Omega REC-11+.

Thanks again guys for your help.  Here is what I found on this site for wiring for my truck.

Thanks for the help but I am not an expert at this stuff altough I have installd a few remote starters in the past.  You said "after your tired of messing with them and they still don't work... wire them up like a 5 wire.  I don't get it?   Your saying I have the three wire setup but to wire them like a five wire?   Why tell me to keep messing with it if you know what the problem is.   The manual I have it says I have to have relays and other devices to wire a 5 wire setup.  My manual says I would need the optional DLS & SPDT relays.  Again I am installing an Omega REC-11+.  You are saying I can not wire it like a normal 5 wire?  Just trying to clear it up.  Also I need your help now not after the five wire.  I need to know how to wire it up.  After that I am done.  The remote start is easy.

Well I do appreciate the help.  But like I said the only problem I HAD was figuring out the wiring of the locks.  After that I was done, there was no "rest."  That is what I needed help with.  In any case I got it working.  I must have had a bad conection yesterday as it works great just taping into the lock and unlock wires.  Thanks again.
