Hi
I am trying to keep my alarm on but turn my siren off with a momentary switch and then have it reset…. I need this because 1 if I had a on/off switch I would forget to turn it on 2 I need to turn it off at work… trains pass my car all day and the alarm goes off 3-4 times
i am an idiot

A momentary switch will only turn it off as long as you are holding the button down.

what alarm u have some of them you can temp by pass the shocksensor so you wont have that problem.
if not y not just put a switch in line with the siren wire and switch it off when u leave and switch it back when u get in the car

You probably won't want to use regular mechanical relays to do this because one of the positions will have to draw power while the car is parked.
If your alarm doesn't have provisions to temporarily turn off the shock sensing, you could do it with some electronics to toggle between the two modes. Should be pretty easy if you have some experience with that.

You will want to disable the shock sensor, not the siren.  The reason being, if you arm the system, even with the siren off, the train will set off the alarm, and your car will sit with the lights flashing.  The lights draw far more current than the siren, so essentially it could drain your battery.
