I just got a SIR-PNR2 that I'll be installing, just not certain if this is a good way to power it or not. The instructions say to wire it to 12v, I'm assuming a switched 12v source, am I right? I was thinking of wiring it directly to the 12v power source of the HU. The connector it comes with is already factory fused with a 1A fuse.  Would this be a good or bad idea? I really dont want to go straight to the battery and I dont want to cut any factory wires.

You will need a 12 volt constant.  Yellow at your new HU harness.

Thats good, I was hoping I'd be able to splice into the harness, it will make things so much easier.
