my other issue is, whenever i change cd tracks or radio stations, I get this thump from the subs. They sound fine when they are playing but like i said change a track "whump" and its not super loud, but noticeable.

I am having this particular issue also, seem like it just started, what do I check first?????

There appears to be a problem with the mute circuit of your radio.

also when I turn it off, the subs pop at power down and it never did that till the other day when my dvd/cd stopped reading disks, I guess thats what you get with a PYLE, I will be sending it in for warranty

it sounds alittle like you might be getting an interference in your signal wire so if you have your power run down the same side as your RCA wires try to get at least 2 inches of seperation between them and if they have to cross make shure that they do that at as close to 90 degrees as possible but if the power is run down the other side than it may bee a problem in your head unit

Haem, you work on getting that one straight and I will get them to stop putting larger fuses in their equipment when they blow the fuse that came with it. Both tasks seem to be equally easy to rectify.

so you think t is the head unit that is causing it, because my power and RCA's are on different sides of the car, BUT my 4ga power and ground do cross each other, it is Stinger 4 ga

IP had this problem with mine a little while back i found that the gain was set way too high i turned it down and it dont do it no more. try it and see if you have the gain set properly

ok I will try that tonight, I am pretty sure they are not past 1/2 ,,,,it also happens when I turn the system off, I here a pop when the head unit turns off and then another a second later, I checked the grounds and they seem to be good, but I need to check them with a DMM

any chance it could have something to do with the remote turn on wire, maybe shorting somewhere? or mabe a loose rca connection?
