I am trying to install a Auto Command Remote start in a 2001 Kia Rio but have no cluw what or where the ETWIS module is located.

I have no idea where that module is located.  Above is the info provided by Audiovox.  None of their wires are located at that module.

Craig, looking at your diagramm, notice that the door contacts are all the same colour woops just read it again, why couldn't they have just said use the dome feed?  Also tach is probably in guage harness as well. The ETWIS box is probably a name for engine or gearbox management, if our poster  could please tell us what wire and function on his unit connects to this, it sounds like something from Harry Potter's Fraud Anglia.

According to the wire list sheet Auto Command provided for that car it is actuall a brown wire and it is for the door trigger.  Lookis like the wire chart posted above is for the later model Rios.  Because the sheet I have in front of me list the 12v wire as being a Red or Black.  Not a double color wire.

The above info is for 2001 Rio from the Directed website. They ist the 12volt wires as BLACK/ blue and GREEN/ red just as the Avox website does above. Chances are the info you have is wrong....

There is a different wiring for the later 2001 Rio.  They changed the color of wires after 06/2001.

It's accually called the ETACS module, in the rio it's in the drivers kick up high.

Audiovox is not aware of the wire color change after June, they have the same exact wire info for both years.  I find it hard to believe that they used a wire harness for less than a year of production, they introduced that vehicle in 01.

The Rio wasn't out till 2001, there's no way they had a harness change half way thru the first production year. It has been the same car for years after that.....
