After my install, my cigarette lighter now does not work. I recently got a GPS which needs to be charged by this in order to make it the whole 14 hour trip from NC to NY. Anyone know how to fix this.. ive checked fuses but i have no other ideas on how to go about fixing this. 01 dodge neon

did you just look at the fuses or did you test them with a meter because sometimes it can be hard to tell a blown fuse just by looking at it in the socket. did you check all fuse boxes?

Kinda easy, stupid fix, but I've seen several where a piece of a charging plug has broken off in the lighter plug and prevents the plug from making contact with the +ve terminal at the back of the plug.  Check to make sure there aren't any obstructions.

Oh, also what did you install?  Is it possible the cig lighter plug is disconnected behind the dash?

Life moves pretty fast; if you don't stop and look around once in a while; you could miss it.
