2008 gmc yukon add 2 way alarm

any alarm can be added to a car. however, you will loose the function to auto remote start it since factory units dont have input triggers. what you can do is wire up the 2way pager, have the installer or diy break a remote apart, use the aux output from the alarm to trigger a relay, completing the circuit from the remote and it will start.

Bypasskit makes an add-on 2-way  that will control the factory remote start as well as the factory alarm.  Basically a range extrender for the factory system with 2-way confirmation

Or if you want to add on an entire aftermarket 2-way alarm, the XK01 will control factory remote start if it's paired with one of the newer DEI alarm/remstart combos.

I want to do this with a GMC 2007 NBS Duramax truck. I've been told that the bypass modules will not start this particular vehicle however. Is this true, or has someone made it work? I really don't want to lose all the cool HVAC features of the factory remote start system, but would love to have the two way fob and true alarm features.
