new to this site , hoping some one can help me with a 2002 chevy cavalier that i just bought for the wife . it has a remote starter already installed in it , the only identfication on this unit is a bar code label  that says code alarm and goh pc 2000 .  it has a 2 button remote , both buttons say start. when i press start all it will do is flash the lights . can hear it click the relays inside the box but thats it .    is this something a do it yourselfer should try ?   i did look to see if there is a hood switch thinking may be it could be rusty , but there isnt  one ..... also no valet switch visable              any help would be great.....

it won't be a pin switch problem otherwise the lights would never begin blinking, is the ignition coming on, could be a bypass problem,

ignition is not coming on ,  no attempt to start ..... the lights only flash.....it looks like it has a dei bypass taped to it .   am i right to think its not a program problem as it is transmitting a signal to atleast  flash the dash lights and head lamps?

try pressing both buttons at once a different button variations.
