im trying to learn all this car audio stuff and i was wondering what the proper way to hook up interior speakers to an amplifier?

i have 2 - 6 1/2 Infinity Reference....RMS 60 watts

and 2 - 4x6 Infinity Reference....RMS 45 watts

Do you disconnect the speakers from the stereo harness wires and wire the speakers directly to an amplifier?? or tap into the speaker wires on the harness run 8 new wires to the amp?

Also i now have a 12" SVC 4ohm subwoofer bridged to a 2 channel 800 watt amplifier. Could the interior speakers be hooked up to that same amplifier?? or would i have to buy a 4 channel amplifier and run the interiors off that?? I would prefer to run everything on the one amp if its possible.....

The sub i know is RMS 350 watts bridged on a 800 watt amplifier.....

The amplifier "SAYS" it runs 380 watts x 2 channels

I dont know what all information is needed to answer any of this so i hope i provided enough?? if anyone can help me out id really appreciate it.....

it depends on what you want to do. you can upgrade the wire you have going to the door spkrs or you can do what you said. just run a 9 pin to the back of the radio and tap into the wires back there at the harness. Not too bad. just make sure to check polarity with a battery before you button it all back together.
