There is a (-) rest at ground on this wire so you can not use the (+) parking lights.Jeff

On GM vehicles you need to hook up to the parking light wire from the headlamp switch. The parking lights are controlled via the BCM in most vehicles and if the BCM senses the lights turning on without the switch being activated, it thinks that there is a short circuit in the vehicle. This will trigger a trouble code and in some cases turn on the check engine light or other indicator light in the cluster to alert the driver of a potential problem. The Impala/Monte Carlo are two such vehicles. The Buick Rendevous is another. There is always a disclaimer with every vehicle wiring info that says you should check and verify every wire for yourself to eliminate errors. Not all wiring lists are completely correct. from what I am understanding if i send a ( - ) signal to the dark blue door pin wire that will rearm the alarm ??

the Autostart modle i am using has an extra rearm ( - )signal wire  ..  And as far as not letting the doors lock it would only be running under remote start when the doors were already lock I would hope atleast  but i think you are more talking if it is running and you wish to lock the doors and get out to run into Timmies coffee shop corect me if i am wrong

You need to pulse both the dark blue doorpin wire and the lock wire at the same time to arm the alarm. Use the rearm wire to pulse the doorpin and the lock wire for the door lock circuit. Program the unit for standard secure lock. You do need to add the relay if you want to be able to lock the doors while under remote start, just in case you are at Timmies and want to have the idle mode option engaged like you said.sparky
