Hi. I have a Viper 5701 installed in a 1989 BMW 535i (e34).
My 2-way remote was failing (it would "hesitate" upon button pressing) so I deleted the remotes, figuring that if I "taught" them the routine again maybe the problem would be fixed.
Ok, I deleted the remotes, Tried to "teach" them again and no luck. After reading carefully the whole manual it says "the remotes can only be taught once". Come on, do I have 2 unusable remotes?
1) If I master reset the alarm, can I program the remotes again?
2) How do I reset the alarm? Is there a way to manually do it or do I need to use a Bitwriter?

you have to reset all the transmiters. then start from the begining only thing in doing this you have to program every button on the remote.

installers do it best. we got the magic hands!
