I'm installing an Alpine Nav system in this car and the diagram sheet says the VSS wire is Blue/White wire found at the ECM 1st plug. My problem is there is no Blue/White wire there. How can I test for this wire?

they usually will not deviate on color completely. so if it says blue white try some of the solid blues. most plugs dont have more than three. than drive the car forward about ten feet while monitoring speed pulse in the settings menu. if its wrong try another. also behind the cluster should be another speed sence wire possible same color.

mecp certification is not always needed. I have it and it has not helped me out at all. my experience out shines it.

According to Avox, it is the gray 32 pin plug, pin #3, blue white. IKf there is no wire there, try stripping one back and shoving it into the hole, then check with a DVM...

Meters are your friend.  Check for voltage fluctuation or pulses as the wheels turn.

Thank You for your answers. It wound up being the last plug at the ecm which was a white 32 pin plug. The first plug is where you will find the blue/white wire for the v6 model
