my bad...I meant true sq enclosure. You can get fantastic sound quality from a sealed enclosure. I'm saying is that sealed is not the only sound quality enclosure there is. Ported can sound just as good designed correctly. IMO my old school 12W6 sounded MUCH better in my transmission line than it did sealed. In the t-line the accuracy was shocking. Every note was defined. Sealed it was ok. The quick double kick drums weren't as detailed.
I see too many ppl always say. sealed is for sound quality and ported is for spl. Not true at all. In some cases sealed will have more output than ported.

Hey j reed i found this box online for a 100 bucks is it worth it 42 1/4" Width, 17 3/4" Height, 22 1/4" Depth

size wise it is good. what are the port dimensions? and is it seperate chambers or one open chamber?

it should be ok. its pretty close to the spec i gave you. The port should even be close to what i gave you as well judging by the pictures. But there is no way for me to be sure with out having true measurements. A custom box would be better. But if you cant build or find someone to build that one should work.
