Remove the speaker, cut the plug and wire off of the factory speaker. Connect the positive wire of the new speaker to the positive wire of the vehicle. Connect the negative wire of the new speaker to the negative wire of the vehicle. Make sure your connection is insulated and there are no bare wires that can touch the chassis of the vehicle. Mount new speaker and put door panel back on.

Depends on what you are looking for a more SQ style sound or to play loud. Judging by your choice of 2 15s i would say you want something to shake the ground. Go ported.

you cant have both. You either have true SQ or you do not. Ported will still sound good. But it will not be true SQ.

Please elaborate on this comment. Are you suggesting that you can not get true sound quality from a sealed enclosure? If so, I disagree.

The Kicker cvr gives a much flatter output curve with sealed rather than ported. Meaning It would be more ideal for achieving a more "True" SQ sound. Ported narrows greater output to a smaller freq range making it not as ideal for achieving "True" SQ. Yes you can have a happy medium of output and still sounding good. But that is not true SQ. They are far from the same.

What do you mean by flatter because I thought like this go with the sealed box becasue a big truck is like a port itself with all of that space but some guys say since I like rap music go with the ported box but others say go with sealed and some notes will sound better. I have a sealed box now and posted this forum because I was thinking about getting a ported box
