NOOOOOO.   This is crazy.  Only because it is my best customer, and they are driving to Canada tomorrow..... and because I am doing this warranty type work at their house....

I connected the white parking light wire to the grey/blk at the BCM brown connector.

Set the pulse on the 5901 to negative, and now it blows the 10 amp jumper fuse.

Any ideas or am I stuck running over there at 6am to put in a relay to the brown parking light wire with the jumper set to positive??  I hate adding relays when I don't have to.  Too many things to come disconnected.

if it blew the fuse you have the wrong wire

its in the purple connector on the back of the bcm

rule number one test the wire

if it dosn't do what its suppost to do you have the wrong wire

hopefully you didn't damage there vehicle

So which wire is it supposed to be if it isn't in the connector that the wire diagram says it is?

I usually test, but I don't like putting things to ground if they match the wiring diagram.

I'm not sure what this means. At any rate you should be verifying the wires at the BCM regardless of whether they match the diagram or not. Wiring information is not infallible. Put your red meter lead to 12V constant, black to the suspected parking lights (-), and see if it shows 12V with the switch on.

are you putting the fuse in the 5901 in the "negative" position??     the new DEI units no longer have jumper for park lights..... the fuse is used to determine + or - output for park lamps....

also verify you are using the gray/black in the brown plug at the BCM.. it should be the ONLY grey/black wire in that harness... verify the wire with a meter and off you go....

Yup.  I must be getting dumber as I get older.

I tested it with a meter, and it was the wrong harness.]

It is now connected to the actual BCM and all is well.

Thanks.
