I just installed the new remote starter Prostat5000 and I can't program it. The hoodpin is not availible in my car so I ground the hood switch wire before the programming. Every time I power up the module the parking lights start flashing about 35 times. During the flashing time there is no responce when I push The Programming Assistance Button. After 35 times time of flashing I push the Programming Assistance Button again and the flashing starts again. Does any body know whats wrong with the remote?

i would reset your module, then program your tach by grounding the grey wire then start your car with the key wait 10 sec then press and hold the brake pedal untill the box clicks 5 times, wait 15 sec then program your remotes by removing the ground to the grey wire for 4 sec, followed by a 1 sec ground, then remove ground again, followed by grounding the grey wire, turn you key on to run then off, hold the lock button until box clicks 5 times for safty the hood pin should be add

Thanks for the reply.

I can not reset the module because the resetting requires flashing the Hood Pin Switch to get into  the Programming Mode.

I cannot flash the hoodpin switch, the module does not respond,  the parking lights keep flashing.

I would take your module back to canadian tire, you do not have to take your wiring, they will only exchange the black box nothing else, bring your receipt, it has a 1 year warranty, if you can take it back or your warranty is over contact me I will repair it

flashing the pin isn't the easiest thing on those. at least not easy to figure out the first time. just in case you can't figure out how to flash it properly, what we do is we ground the hood pin wire momentarily, and then regroun d it and keep it on ground before the parking lights turn off. if you're doing that correctly and it still doesn't respond properly then yeah you probably do have a bad module.
