hey all

I am in the middle of a r/s install into a 1998 Subaru Legacy outback and am having trouble finding the door pin and trunk pin wires. The wiring info I have has these wires located as RED / wht for the door pin and yellow/blue for the trunk pin, both located in the drivers kick panel. there is quite a bundle of wires in that drivers kick panel, so I was hoping someone could verify the colors and location and possibly even narrow down the exact location as i have taken a pretty good look in there and still cannot find these wires.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

well i can give you a tip that's generally easy to follow, the door contacts you can pick up at the dome light, it'll also be in either of the a pillars (most likely driver), and the trunk contact at the light in the trunk, it's easier if you're lazy to dig through all those wires. the only thing is you may have to run the trunk to the front to connect to the alarm, if you're not doing a pager system then you can just tap into either of the back door contacts. just  a thought,

I remember that on the Impreza of that vintage you had to go to the trunk light,  also if when you you open doors or trunk you get a display on the instrument panel, go there;  but if you can't pick up the door contacts in the kickwell should you be attempting what is after all an easy install.
