Ok, so you definitely have the correct lock/unlock wires in the car.
If I remember right, there's a second 3-pin connector on the 1400XP, that's for DEI's Bitwriter programmer, but it's also the same size/type of connector as the doorlock plug.
So there are two three-pin ports on that brain, one is black, one is white......is your doorlock harness in the white connector?
Put your meter to the outputs of the Python, and see if they make a ground when you press lock and unlock.

Can you tell me the exact way to do that with my meter, I'm not seeing anything from the white port, except +12v from the middle unused pin

thx

Dis-connect the R/S's lock/unlock wires from the vehicle. Set your DMM to read DC VOLTS, at a range greater than 12 volts. Attached the RED lead from your DMM to +12v and attach the BLACK lead to R/S's BLUE(-unlock) wire. Operate the unlock output. Duplicate the procedure for the R/S's GREEN (- lock) wire and operate the lock output.

That's what I had been trying, thanks for the verification though, for now I am using second unlock wire and channel 4 wire for locks

I will get a new brain and fix it, will a 1400xpl plug in where a 1400xp was??

just curious

thanks to all who commented/assisted

Yes. However, the 1400XPL should come with a long-range (1-mile) receiver/antenna and remotes, but the modules are the same. Remeber to diode isolate the lock/unlock wires from the R/S to the vehicle.
