I noticed that Zenesis alarms have this proximity feature where you approach the car and it unlocks,  but I know nothing about them that's why I posted an info request here.

app, DEI's been doing security since most guys on this forum were just sperm - and thus with the most experience.

Viper 5901 Responder LC3 SuperCode SST 2-Way Security and Remote Start System is the cat's meow. Not cheap though at near 700 bucks. www.viper.com

"Best" is relative to needs because there's some good stuff out there.

ScyTek gets attention with their on-board camera which is supposed to take pictures of thieves which you can see on the remote when you're in the car. Be warned about low battery life a couple of weeks at most and it uses AAA's. Rechargables don't last. Lithiums are expensive at 5 bucks a pop. The remote looks el-cheapo. Reminds me of disposables like lighters and PEZ. I don't recommend this system.

Prepare your future. It wasn't the lack of stones that killed the stone age.

Thanks for all the replies. I am asking this here because I would rather use my money wisely, and not be sold an inferior alarm by a salesman who's just interested in a commission. (I am also shopping/asking around at local alarm stores too. Trying to find a reputable alarm store with top-of-the-line products along with the knowledge of said products is... very hard.)
Yes, I realize the money going into the car is greater than what it is worth to you. However in my case the car holds sentimental value to me. Is it worth it to put a $1,000.00+ alarm into a $2,500.00 car? To some, no; to me, yes. Thank you.
