new remote killed system

I installed my remote start system (FM-870) about three years ago.  It came with two remotes;  one LCD and one OEM.  Everything has worked great up until last week when I bought a replacement LCD remote control.  After programming the new remote with the existing system, NEITHER remote will start the vehicle.  The engine will crank, but it seems as though its not getting fuel and it won't start.  Anyone have any ideas?  It's cold in Ohio.

It definately sounds like that, but to make sure, I have been through every program feature at least 4 times.  Hell, I even switched it over to diesel engines to see if I could get some response, but natta. 

Could the Passlock bypass have been stumbled by the new remote?  The engine still cranks, but it acts like it's not recieving.... something.  I've gone as far as rewiring the whole stinking thing in hopes that there was a coincidental short at the same time that I programmed the remote.  Natta.  (It's like having lost your keys for 2 days and thinking you may have put them in a place you haven't been in 3 months.)

NO.  Just the battery light.  But... When I remote start it, it stalls out.  If I try a restart with the key (without hitting the safety shutdown (i.e. brake), the engine will NOT start.  It has the same symptoms... engine cranks, will not start.   If I try a restart AFTER I hit the brake, the truck fires up like a champ.  It appears that its in the RS system.  Wouldn't you agree? 

As far as programming the remote to the RS system... I followed it word for word.  In fact, on the FM-870, you can program the: 1. transmitter (remote), 2. Alarm features, and 3. Remote start features.  Programming the transmitter is the only one that has you keep your ignition key 'on' to program.  The RS accepted the remote.  The locks work, and the engine cranks.  To change any other features, you need a combination of the key, the valet switch, and the remote.  After programming the remote, the next thing I did was try it... Natta.
