yea i had no doubts it was a minor problem because the install was straightforward, apparently the hose came loose when re-assembling the dash, the hood cable came loose a few times so i pulled back the dash to fix it, apparently doing this caused the hose to come loose, and i didn't notice, so, thanks again.

Is that the hood cable that clips in rather than the two screws?  It's a mustard and I've been there.  I've been lucky with the AC sensor hose, it's always come apart on me so I know to watch out for it when I reassemble.

They had the slot-in and 2 screw system for years, worked fine then I noticed they changed it on recent IS Models, we haven't had Camry or Maxima over here for about 5 years, (killed by BMW/M/Benz and Audi) but I assume the Camry has the same clip-in design.

I have resorted to removing the cable in the newer toyotas.

All the ones i have tried to remove using the clip seem to snap when i try and remove them.
