I am doing some research right now, both here and with Google on the
Viper 5901 Alarm│Remote Start system. It seems to use some pretty
sophisticated technology and I am hoping it makes the install less arduous than when I installed the 791XV.
This is direct from Viper: "XpressPort™ - Dock the Innovations Award-winning CANMAX400DEI databus interface into the Responder LC3 CPU, for a direct digital connection to virtually every new vehicle and databus architecture on the planet."
Am I correct in understanding this means that for window control, trunk release or door lock control, the alarm would interface through the databus connection?
Does anyone have this alarm installed on their 03-05 Z?

Your Car does not use that module. U need CANBUS MULTI Doorlock & Transponder Interface (DLPK).

All DEI Alarms are great! It's all in the install!!

Thank you for the reply.
These are the options my Z has, so the alarm can operate
these when remote started?
W2WCC-Defrost Activation
CC-Heated Seats Activation
DL-Arm Factory Security
DL-Disarm Factory Security
DL-Door Lock Control
DL-Door Unlock
DL-Fuel Door Release
DL-Trunk / Hatch Release
I assume this is so I do not need to tap into the tach signal
for the remote start and overrun feature?
RS-Tach / RPM Output
What would these be used for?
DL-Driver Priority Unlock
PK-Transponder Bypass: Data NKR
RS-RAP Shut Down (Remote ACC Power)
SS-Entry Monitoring ALL Door Pins
SS-Entry Monitoring Driver Door Pin
SS-Entry Monitoring Front Door Pins
SS-Entry Monitoring Hood Pin
SS-Entry Monitoring Trunk/Hatch Pin
Does this imply I would not require the module that houses
a key to allow remote start?
PK-GM PASSKey3+ Bypass: No Key Req
