96 chevy 1ton 4 dr w/valiant rs130 door locks,horn,lights all work  programing,hoodpin,all work all wiring double checked 2nd pink/wight ign wired but during tach programing it continues to fail to read signal  remote starts but willnot run  i,m experienced mechanic but new to electronics this is my truck thanks for any or all advice in advance   nubee to site but great source to see peaple helping peaple

Thats the number one reason i only put viper starters in.

I have been there more than once its not fun.

Last one i did was a ford one for a ford dealership and it was a waste of  5-6 of my life.

Where did you get your tach signal from?

Have you programmed the tach signal?

ive tried both the tach wht wire and the black #1 injector wire truck operates normal w/ key but r/s fails to accept signal

Are you sure it's a tach issue and not a security issue?

What happens if you start the car with the key, remote start it while it is running, and then remove the key?  Does it die right away or keep running?

not sure of security issue i'll try it with the key but when  i try to program the tach read 1 flash is accepted 5 flashes failed to read tach signal  and it alwayes tells me it failed to readtach

hey guys thanks for taking your time to help out just called icdynamics and was told i have abad unit so i think i will send it back with a detailed description of what i think of icdynamics and what they should do with the unit.it'stime to get a quality system thanks again-greit site looking forward to partisipating again in the future
