I'm sorry you felt that way, but you appeared to be a pro so you shouldn't have asked*, I also apologise for the facetious answer. In terms of what you asked, most of the Golfs/Jettas /Rabbits  and Passats sold in Europe and UK are diesels. There is no reason why the City should have different wiring, Focus and Mondeo are the same, of the Focus clones, Mazda 3 is virtually identical wiring wise but Volvo 30/50 and Land Rover Freelander are different but similar to each other. In Europe, Seat, Audi and Skoda are all very similar on the major colours.  *Yesterday and today I did alarm R/S installs in 2 vehicles I've never done before with no asking others or crib sheets.  I just went out and tested everything, because I'm a pro!

Thank you. I just learned something. I can also do a vehicle I don't know or have never seen before, great. I try to be prepared for something that might come up unexpectedly when I have 32 appointments in the same day. Confidence is great but only gets you so for when you have 4 people standing there looking at you when you're not multiplying anytime soon to help them. This is a place to get help remember. I don't think a PRO can ever stop learning.

Come on, I have to fly 500 miles at a day's notice or drive 200, to do 10+ trackers, not even knowing what makes I'm installing to. Yes I even carry two cordless irons, backup butane and multiple bits such as Torx Philips Hex etc, also those 4.  Are they staff or customers?  If the second, get them away from where you're working.  If you want to see how a REAL pro who try's to help others gets help when he asks a straight question which you didn't please look at "is this possible?" by t&t.  Your first post should simply have asked for VW start and main ign clolours.

Thanks again Velocity, you're the shiznak

Your welcome and my apologies for assuming that you wanted remote start information. I've had to deal with these systems as well in the past and they are very difficult especially the ones that you have to breath into and then hum for 3 seconds afterwards...... PITA !!

the city golf is a carry over car, it has the same wiring info as the 99 1/2-06 golf.

You must be a REAL pro if know one else could possibly do your job within 500 miles.  And because of your job it meens I'm not busy at all?  Or is it just that you have it worse than me so I should just know the wires when I clearly have much less experience than you do.  What does it matter what vehicle make you're installing into if they're trackers.  Yes I agree I should have simply asked for crank, ign. and 12v, but I figured wherever someone gets that info from if it wasn't by memory would be a diagram they could just simply send me anyway plus I like to see if there is a tach location because again I didn't know if they could be diesel.  The people that are waiting here are clients sitting in the waiting room outside my office beside my shop (not literally standing in the shop) because they need to pay for more usage on their device for their car.  This is all the while doing installs, removals, boomerangs, what have you.  Well in conclusion I think I've had much more of a hassel trying to ask help on here than if I did just use my meter when the car came in.  Would "is the possible" by t&t be a book?  Or am I just missing something?  Please refer me to this.

Oh and Velocity they now are blow and hum the whole time 5 or 6 secs. WR3 now as opposed to the WR2 that you may have been used to.

The whole point is if you'd have asked for the colours straight away I'd have told you. i was referring to the thread because he's a straight up youngster, not afraid to either help others or ask for advice and doesn't blow his cool. Which is why a lot of people chime in to help him.  Incidentally are your trackers plauged with software issues? I find that whatever an install takes on a particular vehicle doing a trouble shoot takes about 4 times as long.

Well I must say for somebody who dosn't post any information at all about what they are doing

they sure are picky about somebody wasting there time to help them.

Maybe you should go down to the ymca dressingroom and do a tallywacker measuring competition there as im sure nobody really cares how much of a superstar you are or think you are

Wow....what an ungrateful piece of doodie. You ask such an open ended question, and don't like the answers. Be specific and tell us exactly what you need. It saves everyone alot of trouble. And, yes Howie is a pro...if you were as good as him....you wouldn't be asking the question.
