Been thinking about replacing the Acura headlights with leds but I don't want a large array. After many attempts with SEDs I think I have a winner. I think three each side should do it. If anyone is interested in the drive circuit I'll post a schematic when I get the exact values dialed in.

It will take some time. These are expensive LEDs and I dont want to publish anything until I'm sure the results are repeatable.

How big the heatsink needed to be with a couple of this? I'm working on a couple Prolight 3W and they are hot even with a big heatsink, I guess yours probably even hotter.

By the numbers its 10 square inches of heatsink surface area per watt.
I machined a small heat sink for 4 leds that will have machine oil circulated through it to a small remote radiator.
