2005 subaru sti, python 872

Hi everyone, First post here. I am about to attempt installing the Python 872 into my 2005 Subaru STi and wanted to know how everyone handles the standard keyless entry module. Do you remove the module and use the harness from there to connect in all your door switches and lock controls or do you add the alarm into the system and leave the module? Thanks in advance

Do not remove it. Leave the module, and add yours in.

Can someone post up the tech sheet for a 2005 STi? I am having trouble getting the remote start to work. Everything else is working fine, but I get the 7 parking light flash code. Thanks

Ok so I tried putting it in Automatic mode and turned off the tach wire and just grounded the neutral safety. And it started up just fine like that. I also tried to start it up with the neutral safety grounded in manual mode, that did not work. So I guess its something to do with my tach wire. Im not sure where I should pick it up from. Also my neutral safety switch never shows ground... It goes up to battery voltage in gear, and drops down to about .8-1v in neutral.. Not sure if that is good enough for the system to see?

The GREEN/ black neutral wire at the car's ECU shows (+) in gear, and (-) in neutral. You can hook it up to the neutral wire of the remote start, but you would then put it in Automatic mode. The car will only remote start in neutral, if wired properly. What wire are you attempting to use for tach? You need to use one of the fuel injector wires at the ECU. The "green" tach wire that you see listed on many tech sheets (including DEI's) does not work well....if at all. Do not use it.
