I thought I would ask this question before I go out and purchase a new alarm/remote start system. This remote is a one-way remote for the Viper 790/791 alarm systems. I started using these after going through quite a few of the LCD remotes. For some reason, these one-way remotes also go bad for no apparent reason I guess as I have seen at least 4 go bad between friends and family members. So, for you installers, is this a common issue and is there an easy fix? so you know, when it does go bad, the light still flashes like it's transmitting. It just doesn't transmit anymore. I even tried to reprogram with no success.

All remotes are warranteed for up to a year. I haven't seen cases where the 472 failed.
Prepare your future. It wasn't the lack of stones that killed the stone age.

well I've had the remote for over a year already. I just don't like the idea of having to spend $50+ for a remote every year.
