You did notice the black text in the picture and connected the missing wire described by the text? I have looked it over again and it all looks in order. But yes I too would think that they should remain on any time the blinker is on. Make sure that there is constant voltage on the center relay.

Ok the reason i had no lights when i used the signal was because the key has to be on.  OOPS.  Any ways i bought some electronic flashers and the signals work great all seems to be perfect except when i plug in the column i loose the brake lights they will flash for just a second, when the column is unpluged they stay on..  on the column it has a wire for brake switch not sure why.  any ideas?

The Brake wire on the column is to make sure you can not put the vehicle in gear without applying the brake. Is the shifter on the column? Do you have to apply the brake to shift from park?
It seems as though the brake switch can not provide enough current to run the lights and the shifter solenoid. Could this be the case?

i do not need to apply the brake when shifting.  i'm using a relay, but the supply (87) is wired to the brake switch supply wire.  should i disconnect the wire from the column since i don't seem to need it?

If it will shift out of park without the brake being applied, I have no idea why it is even on the column. Is the shifter on the column? If not on yours, is it available with the shifter on the column? If it is serving no purpose, I see no reason to keep it in the loop. Call the manufacturer and see why it is there.
