when i turn my subs off at the deck, i am still getting a signal to my sub amp. it is barely audible and it isnt loud. it sounds kinda like when 2 subs are wired wrong and they cancel each other out. what do i need to do? could it somehow be my 360a2 since its been modified?
the equipment is
pioneer avic-z2
fosgate 360a2(modified) bridged to 2 ohm 850rms (subs)
fosgate 400s (mids/highs)
2 fosgate p2 12's in high spl vented enclosure tuned @ 35hz
fosgate power components
2 stinger sp800 batts

Does it have horrible engine noise?   Does it make a pop when you turn the volume from 0 to 1 and or from 1 to 0?   Have you tried turning the gains down on the sub amp to see if you can make the noise go away?

no pops or engine noise, i have my rca's grounded and all my wiring is done right. seperate power/ground for the deck, very good grounds for the amps.
i say stupid stuff all the time, this is nothing new.

no i haven't tried to adjust the gains. i figured the signal would be there regardless of gain settings.

when you say weak/bad signal, do you mean after the amp has processed it, or have you tested the signal before it gets to the amp?

yeah after the amp. my deck (i guess) is still sending signal with the sub control turned off. i will switch my rcas from sub to rear and change my rear outputs to low pass and see what that does i guess. i was just hoping my 2000 dollar head unit wasn't f'n up

can't say i blame ya there. but, if all goes well with the signal from the head unit, your modified amp seems to be the issue, which may not be any better news for ya.

Did you ground them at the radio or at the amplifier?  If you did it at the amplifier, you created a ground loop.
