This off topic but I was thinking about getting a Kinetik 1400 to replace my existing car battery. Instead of buying a cap. How do you like the Kinetik? All I have is a 500 watt rms set up maybe going to a max of 1000 watt rms setup. Would you recommend it. My only problem is lights dimming.

On your problem, how much is your voltage dropping ?

Correct that. I went to the website and read all the info about it. I need to factor in 800-1200 watts my system runs with the factory stuff. So probaly a 1800

I am pretty certain that the ground is extremely solid....it drops all the way down from 15 volts to about 10 volts after a couple songs

simple...you don't have enough alternator...adding batteries will just slow the voltage drop.
Also you can sell those amps and buy more efficient amplifiers...like some Ice Power amplifiers.

yah you need more alternator, those amplifiers probally pull close to 100-150 amps a piece. lets say 100, take the 100x4 and your pullin 400 amps. your alternator probably puts out around 300 at high rpm. your in dual alternator territory.
