Are the speakers single or dual voice coil?

That amp is supplsed to be able to run those speakers.  Have you cehcked voltage at the power and ground terminals of the amp,  when the amp is playing just below the level in which it cuts out?

if one of your subs is fried then it actually would help your amp, but only if it was completely fried and not just shorting out when it moves in and out.  do you have a voltage meter? preferably digital?

Disconnect the middle sub and see if it still cuts out.
